Wie werde ich Fördermitglied ? (für Einzelpersonen)

Sie interessieren sich für die FördererInnenstatus bei der Tandem-Stiftung. Dieser Status wurde für Beschäftigte an Universitäten, Volkshochschulen und ähnlichen öffentlichen oder vergleichbaren Einrichtungen geschaffen, die keine Sprachkurse auf dem 'freien Markt' anbieten, aber Tandem intern und in Austauschprojekten verwenden möchten und wo nicht die ganze Einrichtung den Assoziiertenstatus erwerben will/kann.

* Benutzung des im TANDEM-Netz entwickelten Materials ohne Copyrightvorbehalt:

- Artikelsammlung 'Info-Mat-Paket'

- Tips für Einzeltandems auf arabisch, baskisch, deutsch, englisch, französisch, italie- nisch, portugiesisch, spanisch, türkisch (Fotokopiervorlagen und Disketten)

- Tips zum Leseverstehen für Fachtandems auf baskisch, deutsch, englisch, italienisch, spanisch (Fotokopiervorlagen; teils Disketten).

* Betreuung von DiplomandInnen und DoktorandInnen bei Arbeiten mit Tandem- Thematik

* Orientierung mit Hilfe des Forschungsregisters und Zugang zu unserer Materialsammlung (Präsenzbibliothek)

* Automatische Zusendung der Fortbildungsprogramme, Ankündigung der Internationalen TANDEM-Tage und von Nachrichten aus dem Tandem-Netz

Er bietet nicht das Recht, das Warenzeichen 'TANDEM' zu führen.

Über die konkreten Einzelleistungen hinaus bietet die Fördermitgliedschaft den Kontakt zu einem Netz von WissenschaftlerInnen und PraktikerInnen in derzeit 16 Ländern, die einen grossen Erfahrungspool zum Themenbereich 'Sprache-Kultur-Austausch' bilden.

eine einmalige Zahlung von € 50 (rund DM 90.-) für 1 Jahr.

Dabei können Sachleistungen (Bücher, Übersetzungen) angerechnet werden; für östliche und 'Dritte Welt'-Länder gelten Sonderregelungen.

Sie schreiben uns einen Brief, in dem Sie die Fördermitgliedschaft beantragen und erklären, an welcher Einrichtung Sie arbeiten und warum Sie TANDEM interessiert (1/2 Seite, formlos). Wir klären die Aufnahme intern ab und teilen Ihnen das Ergebnis mit. Dann überweisen Sie die Gebühr und erhalten das Material.

Falls Sie noch nicht 'Tandem gefahren' sind, ist die Teilnahme an einem Tandem-Einführungskurs oder das Selbstlernpaket  bestimmt interessant für Sie.

How to become a sponsor

You are interested in the status of "Tandem Foundation Sponsor", created for the personnel of universities and similar public learning institutions which do not offer language courses open to the general public but which would like to implement the Tandem system, either within the institution itself or in exchange programs, and which cannot, or do not wish to, obtain the status of "member".

Sponsor status offers the following advantages: 

*  Use of material developed by the Tandem network without having to pay royalties to the authors: 

+  the articles contained in the "Info-Mat-Packet". 

+  Suggestions for "Tandem Partners" who practice the languages of Arabic, Spanish, French, English, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish and Basque (photocopied material and diskettes). 

+  Suggestions for text comprehension for professional Tandem partners in German, Spanish, French, English, Italian (photocopied material; diskettes being developed). 

*  Collaboration with university students and doctoral candidates who are working in the subject of Tandem, as well as providing them with access to professional training positions. 

* Professional orientation by means of the research registry and access to our material (library and long distance photocopy service.) 

* Automatic mailing of information about training programs and the celebration of the International TANDEM Conferences. 

* Free subscription to the "TANDEM-Neuigkeiten" bulletin which is published three times a year, mostly in German.

 This status does not confer the right to use the TANDEM registered trademark. Apart from specific services, being a sponsor offers participation in a network which unites people involved in theory and practice, in -- for the moment -- sixteen countries, and who have an extensive range experience in the area of cultural and language exchange.

The expenses are: A single payment of 50 €  for one year. There are alternative payment plans and for 'third world' and Eastern countries there are special conditions.

The deposit can be made in the following practical manner: You send us a letter in which you ask to become a sponsor and in which you explain to us which organisation you work in and why you are interested in Tandem (half page). We will handle the question of admission internally and will let you know the results. As soon as we receive notice of payment, you will be sent the didactic material.

If you have had no experience with the Tandem method it would be a good idea to take part in a Tandem introductory seminar or order the Self Study package, which will surely be of interest to you.
